Canon 3 of the so-called Second Council of Arles (Gaul, AD 442-506) decrees that clerics of an equal or higher grade than that of a deacon should not live with or accept a service from a woman, if she is not a member of their family.
Canon 3

Si quis clericus a gradu diaconatus in solacio suo mulierem praeter auiam, (matrem), sororem, filiam, neptem uel conuersam secum uxorem habere praesumpserit, a communione alienus habeatur. Par quoque et mulierem, si se separare noluerit, poena percellat.

(ed. Munier 1963: 114)
Canon 3

If a cleric, being of an equal or higher grade than that of a deacon, would dare to have by him a woman as a help, if it is not his grandmother, mother, sister, daughter, granddaughter, or his wife which took the vow of chastity, he should be barred from communion. An equal punishment should be imposed on a woman, if she would be unwilling to separate.

About the source:

Title: Second Council of Arles, Concilium Arelatense Secundum
Origin: Arles (Gaul)
Denomination: Catholic/Nicene/Chalcedonian
The so-called Second Council of Arles is in fact a collection of canons from several councils, namely the First Council of Arles in 314, the First Council of Nicea in 325, the First Council of Orange in 441, and the Council of Vaison 442. Therefore, the terminus post quem of the collection must be 442 and the terminus ante quem probably 506, the date of the Council of Agde, whose acts are not included in the collection. This collection also includes some canons of unknown origin, which are the only ones included in the database.
