When at some time the kings of Judah (which is translated as "confession"), and the princes of Judah, its priests and people, that is the bishops, presbyters, and deacons, and the common crowd wanted to stand up against the holy man, he stood fast in his faith and was not afraid, because with the Lord's help he prevailed.

This is one of passages which treat as the matter of fact the parallel between the presbyters and the Old Testament priests.
