The deposition of the Presbyter Candidus of the holy memory, died on the day before the Nones of [March or May], when Valentinian was the consul for the second time and Valens for the second time [378]. Paulus carved it.

Discussion:

There are other possible restitutions of the name of this presbyter: Splendidus, Sordidus, Madidus. The consular date indicates AD 378.
