Presbyter Hiculfus and Abbot Laubacharius, along with two bishops and two deacons, hear the confession of Bishop Saffaracus of Paris and then relate it to the Council of Paris (Gaul, AD 552).
Bishop Saffaracus of Paris confesses his crimes,
presentibus sanctis ac uenerabilibus uiris episcopis Medouecho, Leubeno uel Laubachario abbate, Hiculfo presbytero, Aeterno archidiacono necnon et Castricio diacono.
Afterwards, all of them relate what they have heard to the bishops convened at the council of Paris.

in the presence of holy and venerable men: Bishops Medovechus and Leubenus, Abbot Laubacharius, Presbyter Hiculfus, Archdeacon Aeternus, and deacon Castricius.

Discussion:

It is possible that the title of an abbot is used here to describe Laubacharius as a presbyter, and not necessarily as a monastic superior. See discussion in [1380].

The council of Paris gathered under the auspices of king Childebertus I in September 552 to judge Bishop Saffaracus of Paris. Found guilty, he was demoted and forced to spend the rest of his life in a monastery. Six metropolitan bishops were present along with twenty-one other bishops.
